Emasculation Tactics: Misogyny, Male feminists, and Machismo

If you are wondering why I named this thread emasculation tactics, I did this because of the complicated nature of sexual politics. The emasculation tactics are being used by both male and female feminists as well as the hypermasculine guys that glorify destructive machismo. Any black man bold enough to speak out against the misogynistic values in hip hop culture, will be accused of being a punk.

This is so because heterosexual men are reluctant to collaborate with feminists who believe all men are oppressors of women , simply because they are male. This one dimensional ideology is the reason why most male feminists are homosexuals, is it mere coincidence that men who are uncomfortable with their masculinity eagerly embrace this male as eternal oppressor, female as eternal victim philosophy? There are some male feminists that are heterosexual, but they aren't the majority of male feminists.

Young men would be more willing to listen to a heterosexual man speak out against sexist behavior than a gay man doing the same exact  thing. With all that being said here is where the many contradictions arise, feminists are under the impression that any man that isn't a male feminist is a misogynist and a male chauvinist. Feminists are expecting heterosexual men to voice the thoughts and opinions of women via feminist activism. This arrangement has many consequences, the first is the misconception of what people consider misogynistic.

Most people think misogyny is outright hatred for women, but misogyny in the literal sense, is any and all criticism of female behavior. The way that feminists use the misogynist accusation is  evidence that any and all criticism of female behavior is misogyny. This is why I'm baffled every time I hear women say "why do men have problems expressing themselves?", anything that makes women self conscious is misogynistic, therefore this stoic silence is the only way men can avoid this emasculation.

Feminists would argue that their use of the misogynist accusation isn't a form of emasculation, in their eyes it is an attempt to silence those they feel are anti-feminist. Anti-feminist and misogynist are synonymous, feminist use of the word misogynist is no different from the way macho guys use homophobic insults to intimidate male feminists. The macho guys emasculation is direct and straightforward while the feminists emascualtion is indirect and subliminal, they only use different means to achieve the same goal.

To say a straight man hates women is a subtle way of calling him a fag, straight men love women so they wouldn't say anything that would make a woman self-conscious (misogynistic). Besides it's the womans job to make the man self conscious about his behavior, when men express how they feel about women it creates a role reversal, so the end result will always be emasculation. The fact that it is politically incorrect to make women self conscious explains why obesity is more prevalent amongst women.

The coercive tactics of both gangsta rappers in the hip hop industry and radical feminists keep our bourgeoisie black greek leadership in check. Any male activist that takes a feminist stance to criticize the misogyny and sexism in hip hop music is accused of being "one of dem uppity niggas, that be hatin on rappers from the hood gettin money". Rappers believe these courageous male activists efforts are antithetical to black prosperity, because they dare speak out against their degrading lyrical content. Remember misogynistic rap music sells platinum while the socially conscious rap artist is kept underground intentionally.

The radical feminists are even more extreme than the rappers, they believe every educated black man speaking out against destructive thug behavior is only doing this because "he doesn't get the groupie love and attention like the rappers and thugs". If you think that is an outright contradiction, female victimization presents an even more disturbing paradox. Feminists  put male chauvinists into the same category as misogynists without even realizing that " the logic of female victimization ideology and the logic of male chauvinism are identical" ( W. Farell, 2001 ).

The coercive tactics of radical feminists is the reason why every discourse on the african american family, blames the rampant fatherlessness on black male promiscuity and irresponsibility, and never considers female promiscuity to be a contributing factor. Whether this male shaming is coming from a liberal or conservative voice, the approach to this issue remains the same. Any logical theorizing about this fatherlessness is forbidden, the fear of being labled a misogynist is more than enough reason for black politicians, academics, and clergymen to view the issue through a gynocentric lens.

Female promiscuity can be characterized by a blatant disregard for paternity, pretty much what one sees in the animal kingdom. This disregard for monogamous relationships can only lead to rampant fatherlessness. Our hypocritical belief that only children that  have different fathers are half brother or sister, is evidence of this blatant disregard for paternity. African Americans believe that if two children have the same mother they're whole brother or sister, biologically they are half brother and sister but culturally they are considered whole brother and sister.

The greatest example of this disregard for paternity is the show that comes on daily called "You are not the father", most people know this show by the name Maury, but he says you are not the father so much, you would think that was the name of the show. We are all aware that there are some young women that have ran through more men then Julius Peppers and Micheal Strahan combined, but we are still reluctant to believe that female promiscuity contributes to the problem of fatherlessness as much as male promiscuity and irresponsibility for obvious reasons. These are the dynamics of black sexual politics, there are reasons why our leaders must perform these balancing acts, their careers and reputations are dependent upon their ability to appease certain groups whether they be political or apolitical.

Well Balanced.

Machismo IS coming back.
and with it the Family. And no, not these little independent child-napping units called single-mother households masquerading as such. The results are in. That "Village" will crash partly from it's own weight AND blowback.

Thanks EV, I'm just doing my part to help young black people understand that change in our communities is not gonna come from the outside. Every culture has their own flaws, we can't avoid talking about some of the fllaws in black culture simply because it offends a certain segment of our population. Politically correct language is counterproductive, progressive change won't come until we admit that these type of problems even exist.

RE: Emasculation Tactics: Misogyny, Male feminists, and Machismo

Brilliant breakdown of the root of the issue. The only part i disagreed with was where feminists would not support a heterosexual man who spoke out against rappers. I've seen acceptance of this from feminists, but if you have any examples, I'd love to see them.

Otherwise... EVERYTHING WAS ON POINT... Feminists want to place all blame on men... for war, poverty, crime, decline of the family, etc. War Poverty and Crime have existed throughout time, in countries led by men and in those led by women... gender of the leader has NEVER changed the existence of these issues...

but when it comes to DECLINE OF THE FAMILY, there is a very CLEAR indicator of what is causing it...
FEMINIST mindset that is dividing men and women. this whole concept of the "Battle of the Sexes" and the "Men are from Mars" concept were creations of Feminism and the point was to pit the women against the men...
it had been sold as an "altruistic" attempt to "save the world"...

THE ONLY THING the division has done is made matters worse, as we are all aware.

Just like you cannot create a peaceful culture through war, YOU CANNOT SAVE THE FAMILY BY DIVIDING MEN AND WOMEN... Feminism was the beginning of the downfall of the American family structure...
Anyone who doesn't agree ASK YOURSELF... when did the divorce rate and out of wedlock birth rate begin to climb??? and when did the women's rights movement change into Feminism???

Magically it appears THE TWO WERE ALMOST SIMULTANEOUS... hmmm...

Magically it appears THE TWO WERE ALMOST SIMULTANEOUS... hmmm...

To say a straight man hates women is a subtle way of calling him a fag, straight men love women so they wouldn't say anything that would make a woman self conscious (misogynistic). Besides it's the womans job to make the man self conscious about his behavior, when men express how they feel about women it creates a role reversal, so the end result will always be emasculation. The fact that it is politically incorrect to make women self conscious explains why obesity is more prevalent amongst women, don't you think if men judged women by their material possessions women would probably start earning more money than men?

Feminists  put male chauvinists into the same category as misogynists without even realizing that " the logic of female victimization ideology and the logic of male chauvinism are identical".

Thanks for the excellent breakdown on how the family perished  Queen, I think most people deny this obvious reality because it is contrary to the patronizing political correctness we are calling conventional wisdom. When I mentioned feminists not accepting male activists protest against misogyny in hip hop culture, I was talking about the distrust feminists have for any male efforts because of their anti-male philosophy. The misandric impulses of feminists forces them to assume these male activists are socially and physically impotent, they believe there are ulterior motives behind these efforts; they think these black men are doing this out of mere sexual jealousy and not for improving the social condition of women as a whole.

RE: Emasculation Tactics: Misogyny, Male feminists, and Machismo

Oh ok Ra... now I understand ur point more clearly... :-)

lets keep teaching and sharing... I know we've made some changes in at least a few lives along the way...

I'm seeing it in people I interact with in my community.  :-)  Every small and large change makes it worthwhile to keep pushing forward.

A man (and woman)  should look for what is, and not for what he thinks should be.  - Einstein
